1. Million Dollar Cookies
Crispy rice cereal drop cookies. Try butterscotch chips for a different taste.
|1 cup butter|
|1 teaspoon cream of tartar|
|1 cup vegetable oil|
|0.5 teaspoon salt|
|1 cup packed brown sugar|
|1 cup white sugar|
|3 teaspoons vanilla extract|
|1 cup quick cooking oats|
|1 cup semisweet chocolate chips|
|3.5 cups all-purpose flour|
|2 cups crisp rice cereal|
|1 teaspoon baking soda|
|1 cup flaked coconut|
|1. Mix ingredients in the order given.|
|2. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet. Press down with glass which has been buttered and dipped in sugar.|
|3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 minutes.|

|2 1/2 cups oatmeal (blended)|
|2 cups flour|
|1/2 teaspoon salt|
|1 teaspoon baking powder|
|1 teaspoon baking soda|
|1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)|
|1 cup granulated sugar|
|1 cup light brown sugar (firmly packed)|
|1 teaspoon vanilla|
|12 oz. chocolate chips (2 cups)|
|1 4 oz. Hershey bar, grated|
|1 1/2 cups chopped nuts|
|1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.|
|2. Add the oatmeal to a blender and blend into a course flour or powder.|
|3. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.|
|4. In the bowl of an electric mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugars, on medium-high speed, until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well blended, scraping down sides of the bowl as needed.|
|5. Add flour mixture; mix just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips, grated chocolate, and nuts. (Optional: cover dough and chill 30 minutes - add a minute or two to the cook time if using chilled dough.)|
|6. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.|
|7. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet before transferring cookies to racks to cool completely.|
3. Million Dollar Cookies
This cookie is to die for very good with a tall glass of milk or cup of coffee. I had these cookies years ago at my families house during a passing away which everyone brought something and I had to have the recipe. I never changed it and it was a comfort food at that time. I make these when I need a warm feeling in my soul.

|1 1/2 cup(s) chopped walnuts|
|1. Measure oatmeal and blend in blender to a fine powder and set aside. In large bowl put butter and both sugars and mix with a fork. Add eggs and vanilla and mix till blended with fork.|
|2. In another bowl combine flour,oatmeal,salt,baking powder, baking soda Combine this with the egg mixture but now use a strong spatula or metal spoon this will make the batter hard to mix. Once this is mixed well its time to add your choc. chips and grated Hershey and nuts.|
|3. The batter will be hard to mix but I have faith you can do it. Once all mixed I put mine in frig. to get cold for easy handling about 20 mins. Once it is cold shape into balls, I use a medium size cookie scoop .|
|4. Place 2" apart on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 mins. pending on your oven. Bake at 350* The cookie will be slightly brown on bottom and soft to the touch on top which is what you want. Take out and put on wire rack or wax paper. In one batch I got 80 cookies. Or just roll your own.|

|2. Cream together the butter and sugar on low until combined, about 1 minute. Scrape down the bowl.|
|3. Add the egg and mix on low until combined. Scrape down the bowl again.|
|4. Add in the flour, baking soda, salt, coconut, chocolate, crushed chips, and walnuts and mix on low until just combined.|
|5. Use a large cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray. Freeze for 15 minutes. Bake for 13-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let the tray cool completely on a wire rack before removing.|
|6. For thinner cookies with a crisper edge, bake them right after scooping spaced 3 inches apart at 350 F/177C for 9-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.|
