Rhubarb Buttermilk Cake

This cake is so incredibly moist and is good warm and also at room temperature, alone or with some whipped cream or ice cream.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups chopped rhubarb (small bite-sized)
3 tbsp sugar
2/3 cup butter at room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
2 large eggs at room temperature
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk

FOR THE TOPPING:
1/3 cup butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar (white)
1 tsp ground cinnamonttermilk Cake
