Peach Lavender Sangria

Sangria is like the “everything-but-the-kitchen-sink” of drinks. Scour your fridge for fruits and juices. Check the liquor cabinet for liqueurs, flavored vodkas and mixes . The base of sangria is always wine, but you can use red, white, rose, or even champagne! To really make your cocktail special.

1 bottle of inexpensive dry champagne
3/4 cup peach flavored or plain vodka
1/4 cup triple sec or other orange flavored liqueur
1 1/4 cup peach juice/or 100% juice blend
2 lemons, juiced
3/4 cup lavender infused syrup, will need 1/2 cup lavender leaves
2 cups white seedless grapes
2 peaches

  1. Make the lavender syrup. Equal parts white sugar and water in a saucepan with leaves, cook on low until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Let the leaves steep in the syrup for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the leaves out of the syrup using a sieve.
  4. Letting the syrup steep overnight with the leaves will result in a stronger lavender flavor but it isn't necessary.
